Koprivets is a village in northern Bulgaria, part of Byala Municipality, Rousse District.

It is 61 km southwest of Ruse, 15 km southeast of Byala, 62 km in the same direction from Svishtov, 70 km west of Razgrad and 61 km northeast of Veliko Tarnovo.

Koprivets is located in the Ludogorsko-Dobrudzha hilly-plateau subregion of the Danube plain. The village is located at the foot of Popovsko-Samuilovski heights. The altitude is 119 m. The relief is characterized by rounded low hills, which alternate with plateau sections cut by valleys. It falls in the temperate continental climate zone, where winters are harsh and summers are hot. In winter the temperatures can reach around -10 ° C and in summer around 30 ° C.
The river Baniski Lom, one of the tributaries of Rusenski Lom, passes through the village.
The population is about 900 people.
Koprivets is a well-developed village with a town hall, school, kindergarten, doctor's and dentist's office, pharmacy, 4 shops, and 3 pubs. A village market is held every Saturday.
The population is employed in agriculture. The cultivated areas are sown with corn, sunflower, and cereals - wheat, barley, and oats. In recent years, roses have been grown in the village.
Vineyards with dessert and wine vines are planted mainly from the varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Hamburg Muscat, Senzo, Riesling, Adam Muscat, Gamza, Pamid, Dimyat, Bulgar, Fetish Alba, and others. Animals are kept on small family farms.
For the purpose of reproduction and hunting, different species of ducks, partridges, pheasants, and quails are bred.

In the village there are prerequisites for the development of hunting tourism. In the neighborhood is the Belene Forest, where there is a population of red deer.
A few kilometers from the village is the dam Baniska, which is suitable for commercial fishing. The dam allows for fishing for carp, mullet, caracuda, catfish, silver carp, and other freshwater fish.
Of interest are the monastery "St. Petka" and the church "St. Archangel Michael".
3 km away is the Zemin Kale area, where there are remains of a Roman fortress.
About 30 km from the village are the Ivanovo rock-hewn churches, which differ from other rock monastery complexes in Bulgaria with their well-preserved frescoes. They are a branched network of small rock churches, chapels, and cells carved at different heights in the rocks of the picturesque canyon of the river Rusenski Lom, connected by paths and rock stairs.
