The village is situated in north-eastern Bulgaria and is part of Varbitsa municipality, Shumen region. It is located 15 km away from Varbitsa mountain resort famous for its mineral springs, 40 km away from the town of Shumen, 130 km away from the city of Varna and its international airport and 20 km awaw from Veliki Preslav. A magnificent view is revealed from the village towards the green uplands of Stara Planina mountain.
Sushina is a quiet and peaceful village with a well-organized infrastructure. It is located near Ticha dam-lake, which is the second largest dam-lake in Bulgaria and at the foot of the Stara planina mountains. Not far from the village, at the bank of the dam-lake there is a holiday settlement - 13 bungalows are operating all year-round. In and near the village there are many guest houses. The place is suitable for either fishing, rural tourism or relax. The area is ecologically clean, the air is crystal clear, the nature - well preserved. Fishing lovers may enjoy catching carassius, sheat-fish, common rudd etc.
