It is an old city, situated at the foot of the Sredna Gora Mountain. The Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency says Stara Zagora is a "city of straight streets, linden trees and poets". It is located in South Bulgaria, in the Upper Thracian Valley, at the crossroads of the routes from Plovdiv to the Black Sea and from the Danube to the Aegean. The second largest city in Bulgaria and cultural capital of the country- Plovdiv is situated 65 km away from the village. One of the most famous winter ski resorts- Pamporovo, stands at the distance of 145 km.
